OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators 2021-22
This program assists individuals and collectives to develop new theatre work. This is a third-party recommender program, meaning applications are submitted to Theatre Smith-Gilmour.

Deadline: Monday November 8th, 2021, 1 p.m. EST
Grant Amount: minimum $1,000 maximum $3,000
Company Interest and Priorities:
To assist theatre artists to create new work that:
- reflects our cultural diversity
- explores collaborative creation
- investigates the human condition with a unique theatricality
Each application will be reviewed individually based on its own merits and needs by Dean Gilmour and Michele Smith, Co-Artistic Directors of Theatre Smith-Gilmour. Recommendations and grant amounts will be determined based on the scope and scale of the proposed project, the artist’s history of creation and the feasibility of the artist’s work plan.
Application Instructions:
All applications are submitted to recommenders through Nova , the OAC’s online grant application system. All requirements for our Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators are outlined in Nova.
All applications must be submitted online through Nova and late submissions cannot be accepted.
